As Pastor Daniel continues to recover, we are moving ahead through our study of Exodus on Sunday evenings with Pastor Robin and are also excited to be welcoming several worship leaders from local churches who have been willing to fill in as well.

As the holiday season begins, we wanted to let you know we will be having lots of opportunities to connect and serve with one another, so be sure to put these dates on your calendar! You can read more about each of these events on our website: https://redemptiondb.com/events

A Special Note from Laura

Hi ladies! I am really looking forward to our time together at our Women's Brunch in November. I have been praying that God would use this time to really encourage and bless us as we set some time aside to meet together, get to know one another better, and see what He wants to teach us in His Word.

The theme for this Fall Brunch is "Faithful in Every Season." I'm looking forward to sharing how God uses ALL the seasons of our lives for a purpose--and how we can find hope and joy in every season. God is faithful, and His Word is filled with His promises to fill us with peace, strength, and faith as we walk with Him through it all. He is good!

So please sign up to bring a treat to share, and come spend a morning with us! Can't wait.

September Newsletter 2022

Dear Redemption family,

We have been supporting the House of Blessing ministry and orphanage in Bachiniva, Mexico since it was started in 2012. We have seen God use this ministry in the children and families in this small community in Mexico in incredible ways. Missionaries, Jason and Jackie Sanchez, started this ministry and continue to serve and direct the ministry in Bachiniva.

This Fall, House of Blessing (HOB) has a tremendous opportunity to start a Private Christian School on their campus. Education in Bachiniva and the surrounding areas can be difficult and challenging, especially for children who are behind or slow at learning. In partnership with the local church and individuals in the community, HOB will be able to provide a unique education option with the emphasis of biblical foundations and learning English.

Need prayer throughout the week? Text us your prayer requests at 561-717-7607

Pastor Daniel serves on the Board of House of Blessing and will be going to visit as they start the school the first week of September. Please pray for a safe and encouraging trip as he goes to support and encourage the ministry there.

Another way we are supporting this ministry is hosting our second annual GOLF TOURNAMENT on October 1st here in South Florida! Jason will be here to share about the ministry, and all proceeds raised through the Golf Tournament will help support and launch the new school. Please invite anyone you know who would be interested in attending, sponsoring, or donating to this special event. Register and learn more at www.hobgolf.org

Want to give your tithes & offerings during the week? Give at www.redemptiondb.com/give

Finally, we are planning to take a missions team on a trip to Bachiniva in March, 2023! When Jason is here visiting, we will be hosting an interest meeting on Thursday, September 29th at 7pm at the Williams house for anyone interested in participating in this missions trip. Jason will be able to share what to expect on a missions trip to House of Blessing and answer questions.

We are truly excited to see God working and allowing us to partner with them in ministry in Mexico. Please join us in praying for Jason, Jackie, and all those serving and involved with HOB and the new school!

July Newsletter 2022

Dear Redemption Family,

This month, we are looking forward to a time of learning and growing both together as a church, but also having opportunities to share the Gospel with our community!

Our Friday night classes called “Overcoming the Enemies of Your Soul” will be held on Fridays throughout the month of July at Carmela Coffee in downtown Delray, and we have opened the class to anyone in our community who would like to learn about the Christian faith. If you have not already registered, please visit our website and register through the Eventbrite Link HERE. And INVITE your friends, coworkers, or neighbors to come and participate as well! Childcare is not provided, but older children and youth are welcome to sign up!

On Thursday, June 7th, we will be having a special Prayer Night at Barwick Road Church from 7-8pm to pray for this class and for all who will be attending. We always set aside the first Thursday of the month to fast and pray as a church, and we hope you can come and join with us to lift up our church, our families, our community, and all our needs to Jesus.

On Monday, July 18th at 7pm, we will be having a special Prayer Night at the Williams home to specifically to pray for the youth in our church. Our youth group will be heading out for their first Summer Youth Retreat from July 18th-20th. We are really happy to be able to pour into the young people at Redemption Church and spend time intentionally building relationships, growing together in faith, and having an amazing time away from home. While the youth are away, the Williams are inviting all parents of kids on the trip and all the members of the Redemption Church family to come to their home to pray for the group. We look forward to hearing how God works during this special time.

Finally, as we continue our study of the book of Exodus on Sunday evenings, we are excited to invite you to a Traditional Seder Meal on Friday, August 5th.

The Passover Celebration, observed by Jews throughout history, is a direct remembrance of what God did in Egypt in the book of Exodus and has AMAZING applications for us now that Jesus came and fulfilled the law and the promise of salvation! HE is the true passover lamb, and the Seder Meal (the Passover tradition) is filled with specific symbolism that points to Jesus, the Gospel, and God’s faithfulness to His people.

A full dinner will be provided, as well as a historical and scriptural explanation of the Passover Feast from Pastor Robin. The cost of the meal will be $15 per person, $25 per couple and $40 per family. Sign up at the back table at a Sunday Night service to attend this special night or email us at info@redemptiondb.com

Remember that we are also continuing our study through the book of Exodus on Sunday nights, and if you miss a Sunday, you can listen/watch the messages on our podcast or at www.redemptiondb.com

We pray that you are continuing to find hope in Jesus and in His love for you today. We are grateful for His continued grace and provision for us, and we pray that He uses all these opportunities this month to bring us closer to Him and to lead more people to salvation!

June Newsletter 2022

Dear Redemption family,

Summer is here, and we are excited for all the families who have made it through another school year! As we finish up our Spring Community Groups, we want to let you know that there are still lots of opportunities for fellowship and discipleship throughout the coming months while we take a break from weekly community groups.

On June 2nd, July 7th, and August 4th (the FIRST THURSDAYS of the month) please join us for PRAYER NIGHTS at Barwick Road Church in the Family Life Building from 7-8pm. We always take time to fast and seek Jesus in prayer as a church on the first Thursdays of the month, and this is a truly important and powerful time that you won’t want to miss.

On June 24th from 6-9pm, we are hosting another GAME NIGHT at Carmela Coffee in downtown Delray! Invite friends to join you and  have them text that they’re coming to 561-717-7607 to get a FREE coffee! All ages are welcome!

On Sunday, July 3rd, we will be having a SPECIAL COMBINED SERVICE  with Coastal Chapel and Lifespring Church. We will have a time of worship and teaching followed by games, a waterslide and bounce house food, and a SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT! The event is FREE, but you need to register to attend at coastalchapel.com (everyone who registers gets a free Kona Ice) If you would like to participate in the softball tournament, the cost to play is $10 when you register, and you will be given a T-shirt at the game. We need players to join us, so have a friend sign up to play too!

Finally, we will be hosting a 4-week course on Fridays in the month of July called “Overcoming the 3 Enemies of Your Soul.”

Over the centuries, believers in Jesus have described the enemies of the soul as the world, the flesh, and the devil. These enemies use the strategies of deceptive ideas (the devil) that lead to disordered desires (the flesh) that are then normalized in a sinful society (the world). This is something we all experience on a daily basis; and as we learn to recognize this, we will be able to better understand and know the peace of God in our lives.

In this course, we will study each of these areas and we will look at practical tools to help RECOGNIZE these enemies, RESIST the lies they try to make us believe, and EXPERIENCE the peace and joy that we were designed for—regardless of what situations may come our way.

Cost to register for this 4-week course is $40 and includes a custom Carmela Coffee beverage at each class, video lectures, guided small group discussions, and individual workbooks.

Classes are from 7pm-8:30pm on Friday, July 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th at Carmela Coffee (247 SE 6th Ave Suite 1, Delray Beach, FL 33483)

We are looking forward to seeing you at these events and growing together throughout the summer! Remember that we are also continuing our study through the book of Exodus on Sunday nights, and if you miss a Sunday, you can listen/watch the messages on our podcast or at www.redemptiondb.com

We all deal with mental health in different ways on a daily basis. At times, mental health issues can hinder relationships, affect our overall health, and cause even the most routine activities to feel overwhelming.

Whether you or someone you care about is struggling with mental health issues, we invite you to join us for an evening where you will hear from Licensed Therapist and Mental Health Counselor, Kristan Torres, on the subject of GOD & MENTAL HEALTH.

Kristan will discuss this topic from a biblical standpoint. Her insight into this subject will both encourage and challenge you as she shares how GOD is able to help us, speak to us, and address our mental health in practical ways.

March Newsletter 2022

Dear Redemption Family,

This month, we are so grateful to have opportunities to serve together and grow together as a church! It has been a long season of isolation for so many, and we thank God that we are beginning to see doors open for greater discipleship, fellowship, and service!

Community Groups are starting up this month, and we are looking forward to these times of encouragement, prayer, and relationship during the week. We currently have a Tuesday and a Wednesday group, so if you'd like to participate, let us know! (Email pastor Daniel at daniel@redemptiondb.com)

We also have many opportunities coming up to serve our local community, and show God's love to those in need in our city and county. Titus 3:14 tells us we are to be devoted to good works, and as we serve others, we will see God at work in our own hearts as well.

Love Delray is a quarterly volunteer initiative that seeks to unite our community through collaboration and service. The next quarterly event is on Saturday, March 19th from 8:15am-12pm and is an easy way to join with us and other believers in our city to work on various service projects that help those in need. Sign up at www.lovedelray.com to come serve with us!

Finally, Proclaim Church in Lantana, which was sent out from Redemption Church as a new church plant in 2019, has invited us to participate in any of the many areas of community outreach they are leading in our county. (Read Pastor Will’s Note Below)

We are thankful to see God giving us so many ways to serve and grow with one another as we pursue and proclaim Jesus!

Pastor Will Torres and his wife, Kristan were sent out from Redemption Church to plant Proclaim Church in North Palm Beach County in 2019, and we are privileged to continue to partner with them in loving and serving our communities together. Read the message from Pastor Will below about ways we can get involved in serving together:

A Note from Pastor Will Torres:

As many know, Advent Lantana has united with Proclaim Church to now be known as Proclaim Church, an Advent Life Ministry.  We are so excited about what God is doing here and in our region and we are so glad to be connected and in relationship with all of you.

With that in mind, I wanted to let you know about some opportunities we have for some ministry collaboration, and ways that our churches can help serve our community together.

Through Advent Boca's relationship with a non profit organization called Boca Helping Hands, we have some great programs that are meeting the needs of the poor and hungry in Palm Beach County. It's a great opportunity to maybe have a small group serve together, or if you have individuals who are looking to volunteer on a regular basis.

1. Saturday Food Distribution.

From 12pm-3pm every Saturday we serve over 160 individual family units with a full bag of groceries, a bag of frozen meats, and vegetables/juice.  Boca Helping Hands delivers the food, and we handle volunteer coordination.  We try to get a team of 8 individuals for this team.

2. Friday Night Hot Meal Distribution.

Every Friday from 4:30pm-6pm we are giving away free hot meals to any car that drives up to our location.  We manage this project with 6 individuals every Friday night.

3."Take 5 Community Closet."

Every second Saturday of the month from 9am-12pm, this is where we have a community closet where any member of the community can come and pick out 5 individual clothing items for themselves and each of their family members.

This is a great opportunity for teens to get service hours for school and also a great opportunity for volunteers who want to get their feet wet serving and being the hand and feet of Jesus!

We would love to have you join us! Just e-mail me to let me know when you’d like to serve at wtorres@goadvent.org

Proclaiming Christ alone,

Will Torres
